BFMV lanzará su tercer disco para finales de abril

"No me avergüenzo de decirlo: me siento orgulloso de esta mierda", el cantante y guitarrista Matt Tuck dijo para U.K.'s Rock Sound. "Cada vez que la escucho me bombea y quiero tocar para la gente."

"Estoy seguro de que nos puede llevar a lugares nuevos, porque es una progresión enorme".

Según Tuck, lo que le seguirá al disco "Scream Aim Fire" del 2008 contendrá 11 pistas, y traerá todo menos los momentos que se esperan de thrash que traían sus predecesores discos, pero no baladas de ningún tipo. "Hemos intentado deliberadamente no hacer algo concreto, pero hemos analizado lo que hicimos y algo que no hicimos los dos últimos discos y tratamos de hacer el mejor álbum que pudimos", dijo.

"La gente nos pondrá en múltiples escenas o tendencias, pero por eso creo que no pertenecemos ninguna", continúa Tuck. "Podemos adaptar el sonido... somos una banda de hard rock con influencias de metal, y eso lo he dicho desde el primer día".

El nuevo nuevo álbum de Bullet For My Valentine fue dirigido por el productor estadounidense Don Gilmore, quien ha trabajado anteriormente con Linkin Park, Dashboard Confessional, Good Charlotte y Lacuna Coil, entre otros. "Él me ayudó mucho para obtener el mejor compositor que hay dentro de mí", añadió Tuck a Rock Sound. "Necesitábamos a alguien que nos lleve a otro nivel, aunque hemos tenido un éxito tan grande frente a nuestras espaldas".

"Confiamos en hacerlo solos, pero trabajar con alguien diferente es siempre un riesgo. Durante los primeros cuatro meses, si se sentía como que habíamos íbamos para arriba, como que lo debimos haber hecho todo por nuestra cuenta, pero a medida que pasaba el tiempo, nos pusimos a ver lo que estaba haciendo don y por qué lo hacía. Siempre estaremos tratando de mostrar a la gente lo que somos capaces".

Welsh metallers BULLET FOR MY VALENTINE will release their as-yet-untitled third album in late April.

"I'm not ashamed to say it: I'm proud as fuck," singer/guitarist Matt Tuck tells U.K.'s Rock Sound. "Every time I hear it I get pumped up and want to play it to people."

"I'm sure it can take us into new places because it's such a huge progression."

According to Tuck, the follow-up to 2008's "Scream Aim Fire" will contain 11 tracks and will contain fewer all-out thrash moments than its predecessors, but no ballads whatsoever. "We've tried to not deliberately do something specific, but we've analysed what did and didn't work on the last two albums and tried to make the best album we can," he says.

"People will put us in multiple scenes or trends, but that's why I think we don't belong in one," continues Tuck. "We can adapt our sound… we're a hard rock band with metal influences, and I've said that from Day One."

BULLET FOR MY VALENTINE's new album was helmed by American producer Don Gilmore, who has previously worked with LINKIN PARK, DASHBOARD CONFESSIONAL, GOOD CHARLOTTE and LACUNA COIL, among others. "He totally beat me up to get the best songwriting out of me," Tuck tells Rock Sound. "We needed someone to take us to another level even though we've had such huge success off our own backs."

"We feel confident to go it alone, but working with someone different is always a gamble. For the first four months, if felt like we'd fucked up, like we should have done everything on our own, but as time progressed, we could see what Don was doing and why he was doing it.

"We'll always be trying to show people what we're capable of."
